Life Rehab Fitness is a holistic approach to wellness that helps facilitate in the renewal and healing of the mind, body and spirit. This is achieved by creating daily habits in your life that will integrate fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness. My name is Kara and I'm a professional Holistic Health Coach and Personal Trainer. I want to meet you where you are in life and offer you the support and accountability you need to meet your goals and create the life you want and deserve. My hope in creating Life Rehab Fitness is that through incorporating these daily habits of fitness, nutrition and mindfulness you will begin to finally experience freedom from the viscous cycle of negative thought patterns and habits that have been controlling your life.
Life Rehab Fitness is here to help provide women who feel lost and without hope a map they can follow to help them gain the strength mentally and physically needed to create the life they want. This is accomplished by providing you the tools needed based on your individual needs and goals to create a new set of positive daily habits centered around fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness to incorporate into your life. The programs are set up utilizing an app that will allow you to stay on track with your goals while providing me daily feedback of your progress so I can offer you the support and accountability you need along the way. Each day as you complete one of your custom tailored habits you will check it off as completed. By doing this daily you will start to create new positive mental patterns that will promote clarity as well as begin to build self-confidence and gain the strength and momentum needed to continue to move forward in your wellness journey. In addition to your daily habits you will also have available to you monthly, bi-monthly or weekly coach check ins depending on which program you choose to see how you are doing, offer any additional support needed, and to answer any questions you might have. We can't control what happens to us in life, but we do have control over how we choose to respond. When you have depression or anxiety, exercise often seems like the last thing you want to do. But once you get motivated, exercise can make a big difference. Exercise improves blood flow and oxygen to the brain. It has the added benefit of releasing endorphins ( natural feel-good chemicals) into the body. Exercises can positively change your perception of yourself and your beliefs of what you are truly capable of. Self-Confidence that comes with exercise is one of the biggest benefits of weight training. It helps shape your identity-the type of person that you believe you are-which dictates how far you'll go in any endeavor. Along with setting up weekly fitness goals you will also have daily habits centered around health and wellness custom tailored for you that when completed will only further promote an increased sense of self-confidence. The cumulative impact of these daily small wins along with hitting your fitness goals each week is enormous and will help provide the momentum needed to move forward!

Good nutrition combined with physical activity (and also our emotional states) are the most important foundations for living a fulfilled and meaningful life. These practices when combined will help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight and provide nourishment to have a well functioning body and mind. Through our program you will not be focusing on counting calories like other diet plans but rather focused on learning how to fuel your body with whole foods. Research has shown that a lifestyle rich in whole foods has been linked to reduced feelings of depression, anxiety, and fatigue as well as a boost in overall productivity and well-being. The goal of LifeRehabFitness is not for you to view eating healthy as a "diet". But rather help you make it a daily habit, just like drinking your morning coffee, so it turns into a natural way of being for you. Together we will outline your goals and define the steps you will need to take to get there. We will discuss and examine the many aspects of your life and where you might find difficulties in making the changes that you desire and then develop a plan to help you overcome those. I will hold you accountable for doing what you say while providing positive reinforcement along the way- giving you the framework and support to help you on your journey. Creating self compassion, gratitude and inner peace through mindfulness
Mindfulness is a way of being with yourself and perceiving the world around you in a way that can help you live your life more peacefully. Mindfulness will help you to be more aware of what's happening around you and inside you in the present moment rather than being consumed with thought and emotions of the past and future that lead to feelings of anxiety and or depression. Instead of your feelings controlling you mindfulness allows you to simply acknowledge what you are feeling and without judgement simply be with or release those feelings. Research has shown that practicing mindfulness charges the brain in numerous positive ways such as increasing gray matter. One of the many areas comprised of gray matter is the hippocampus, a structure involved in learning memory, emotional control, stress arousal and responsiveness. Through mindfulness we can increase the gray matter in the hippocampus, effectively strengthening it and helping it better withstand anxiety and depression. My hope for you is by implementing the daily mindfulness exercises through Life Rehab Fitness you'll come to realize that being anxious and or depressed is not who you are but rather a result of the coping strategies you have developed along the way in life that have lead you here feeling trapped in this cycle. With Life Rehab Fitness you'll learn a new set of healthy minded coping strategies through mindfulness to replace your old habits and ways of thinking. By practicing mindfulness it will enable you to form a new positive outlook on life and help you break free from the viscous cycle of self doubt, regrets, and anxiety that are preventing you from moving forward with your life.
